02. Solsagan

07. Galgasång
08. Mot Skuggornas Värld
09. Under Bergets Rot
10. Fornfamnad
11. Dråp

The band has dais this in regards to the new album:

"After tough and hectic weeks in the studio, due to lack of time and summer festivals, we are now really, really pleased with the results. Nifelvind is the most advanced and mature Finntroll-album to date, with musical themes ranging from powerful death metal riffs to dark soundtracks, from pounding black metal to groovy 80's pop-music. All this is accompanied by our trademark sound, lots of never-before-heard instruments in the metal-scene, folklore and legends that make it overall the most versatile album we have created so far."

"...from pounding black metal to groovy 80's pop-music."

I would like to see how that is going to sound.

Where should I start if I want to start listening to these guys?

I never really got into this band. Trollhammaren is probably the most unintentionally hilarious song (and video) ever. From what they said this sounds interesting though, so I might check it out.

^ I really don't think it's unintentional. I don't think they and most folk metal bands take it too seriously. It's just good fun badass metal.

It's a great fun song definitely, I just always found these guys kinda gimmicky. Which is ironic considering how much I love Equilibrium.
