There's about 5 here I agree with - just more so disagree with their placement (especially amongst everything else). 2009 has been pretty epic for music as far as I'm concerned.

.......first off, half of these bands should not be on this list. ESPECIALLY GREEN DAY! That pissed me off so much. When will people start making lists of best albums w/o bias to genre. I think a list should include any and all Genre's. There is no way that bands like Thrice, MArs Volta, Brand New, etc. shouldn't be on this list. I am not saying those were the best albums, im just giving examples.

not exactly sure why you guys are surprised at the lack of metal on this list...Q doesn't even cover metal music for the most part

tbh, there are some good ones here, notably florence and the machine, phoenix, manic street preachers, lily allen, etc., but it's legitimacy is slightly ruined by everything else (seriously that kasabian album at #1 is ridiculous, as is mika or empire of the sun that high)

U2 have out a pretty neat retro-y album.. would make most fans of pretty happy
21st century Green Day is great for them as far as hanging around.. and
my fave Ian Brown is a must have.. for stone roses fans as its very melodic and awesum.
a good year in music?? oh well whatever nevermind.. the end of good music.
Kiss have a new LP out.. but aside from 1 or 2 songs is horrible.
