I don't quite understand the generic comment made about this song. Doesn't seem generic to me, especially not by metalcore standards.

Anyways, I mean at least we all know now this is going to be better than LSPA, but I'm pretty sure no one had to even listen to the song to guess that much.

Scenesters, like the one we tossed out from a gig after he punched me for saying that Atreyu weren't that good. Being a scene kid the punch lacked any strength and he had no friends backing him up. It was a good night

Though I felt a little bad about it afterwards

I thought I already commented this wtf.

Song isn't that bad, just really average. Plus it reeks of Whoracle if anyone didn't notice.

The production on Alex's voice sounds like crap. Guitar work is good though. Overall an interesting tune which held my attention. Band simultaneously gets too much hate and praise. I'll definitely give this a listen when it comes out.

Edit: Btw academy this isn't their first single, according to their twitter. "Storm to Pass" is their first single which will most likely be released later in the week.

Band gets far too much shit, people seem to have jumped on the hate bandwagon bigtime. Song wasn't bad at all.

Almost died of shock that Brandon didn't sing though.

Needs some Brandon, hope he sings in others songs. Song is quite good, gives me some hope that this album will be as good as Death-Grip. Also, yes, the distort talking shit has got to go... it also has to go for AFI, stupid crappy gimmick trying to be all dark and creepy.

considering how much love atreyu gets around sputnik, im suprised how positive the response has been to this song. its really nothing impressive....i was a big atreyu fan in the past but they just suck now. the other new song is up now too, and it isnt much better.

ït's pretty good but the chorus is a little too cheesy. oh well the rest is good so maybe this'll grow on me, after all it's mainly their cheesiness that makes me still like a few of their songs, whatever way that works out

What the hell, these guys were really bad before Death Grip and NOW everyone says they suck?

bloc

Deathgrip was without a doubt the best of these guys. i can assume the Atreyu chart would be like a deformed triangle; the vertex being deathgrip, then slopes on both sides.

Dunno I still like a few tracks from their Suicide Notes album, just because they've improved (I agree that they have) doesn't automatically mean they're good

See, I think LSPA is by far their best album.

Lelle

@bloc01 I think their graph would me more like a deformed W, with Suicide notes to the left, The Curse low down, Deathgrip high, Lead Sails low, and congregation hopefully high up again

that would work, except for me, i was never a fan of Suicide. although i'm sure many people were back in the day.

curse is best...always thought deathgrip and lspa sound very similar stylistically, with the former just having much better songs

curse COULD'VE been decent if they'd had a good producer/mixer and Alex had been able to scream

suicide notes and the curse had passion, and that made them the best albums in my opinion. whether u like the music or not, that was their creative peak. deathgrip was decent, and then it just went downhill. they dont sound inspired anymore, and the music is bland.

if you're implying that he produced the curse (no idea personally) then why did he make everything, including the vocals, to sound totally dead and plastic? Plus if you listen to the instrumental some of the choruses are the most poorly mixed stuff I've ever heard
