Yeah, I've got a bundle more new release stuff after doing some research but decided to cool it on the news page.

And no, not that I know of.

When did they move off a major label?

When did they move off a major label?

Broke off with Columbia/Sony sometime after Oh! Gravity so that they could become "more personal with their fans" or something along those lines. So, 2007ish I presume.

Same. I'm looking forward to this, especially after seeing what Jon Foreman's capable of with his solo EP's.

has anyone else heard fiction family (foreman's project with the dude from nickel creek)? it's really solid.

Fiction Family's pretty good! I liked 2 or 3 songs, "Out of Order" was the only one that really stood out to me. I have to admit tho, I'm not as much of a fan of Sean Watkins's singing, after Foreman he just sounds forced and pitchy. Cool concept and collaboration tho, fun stuff and definitely worth a listen.

i agree with all except the part about Watkins' singing. i think he has a really nice voice and it flows nicely with Foreman's pipes. oh and..... tight username brah ha.

Kinda pumped for this. Switchfoot was my all-time favorite band when I was a freshman.

Hah thanks, it's an ode to the obnoxious bros on my floor who won't turn Soulja Boy off, *(&^%@#&*$^(@&#. It was down to that or Brosideon :P
Don't get me wrong, I loved his voice in Nickel Creek, I just feel like in comparison it suffered a little. Maybe I'm just a sucker for the Jon Foreman pseudo-drawl laid back singing.

Switchfoot at their best is actually really tight. what i've heard from this sounds extremely promising.

and btw, to whomever was asking what the single will be, it's gonna be Mess of Me as far as i've heard.
