I've said it before and I'll say it again- if BGWTB doesn't rule, I'll buy a hat and eat it

The main riff is so annoying. Didn't like this much at all.

The thing that bothers me is the verse structure---- it's so basic compared to classic AiC. Still, I liked the song.

lol perhaps, but being the fan of AIC that I am I doubt I will even think it sucks. Yeah I'm admitting to being a bit of a fanboy here.

Probably gonna get banned for posting this, but the album was leaked on BT earlier this week. It's a total disappointment. AIC did technically release an album without staleys contribution, Jerry Cantrell released an album in 2002 a few months after his death, it was called "Degradation Trip", which was true to AIC standards, and well it was pretty good. I was really disheartened they decided to come back together and then released this mess. It does suck. I'm a true fan, but there's only one good song on the entire CD. Sorry guys... I guess 7 years of touring the same old stuff can take you out of practice for writing new material. There's not even an excuse for some of these songs, most notably "check my brain", which is hands down the worst (and most annoying riff) song on the cd. :'(

If I had to make a fanboy complaint, it's NOT the layne replacement, it's Jerry. He was the nuts n bolts of AIC, and he let us down. Mike too, for that god-aweful riff. They wrote degradation trip without layne around, yet 7 years later this is the best they can do? I guess it does sort of reflect the post AIC story of going on tour with their old material and finding a sound alike to replace layne since 2004, and never writing (much if any) new material during the process.
