Arsis Reveal Album Plans

2009-07-29 by R6Rider | 31 Comments
Arsis have reunited with original drummer Michael Van Dyne and will record their new album, Starve For The Devil, later this year.

The album will be recorded in Massachusetts with producer Zeuss (Municipal Waste, Agnostic Front, Hatebreed). Artist Mark Riddick will provide the artwork, which promises to be as "meticulous and grotesque" as ever.

Van Dyne commented: "The new ARSIS record is coming along great - we have eleven new original songs nearly completed, as well as a cover song which will probably be used as a bonus track. Recording this album should be a blast, and the fact that we'll be working with one of the world's top metal producers will only make the experience that much cooler."

Frontman Jim Malone added: "For the past six months we have been writing songs for Starve For The Devil, and I must say that I am more than pleased with the way things are going. Mike Van Dyne and I rehearsed this past weekend; it was the first time we have played together in over two and a half years. The rehearsal went amazing; he has really done the songs justice."

The group will hit the road in October on the Neckbreakers Ball European Tour, supporting Behemoth and Devildriver.

If it's as good as their last it will be great.

If it's as good as their last and their first it will be unbelievable.

If it is as good as their last than it will probably suck because their last album was terrible.

Erroneous. The intro to "Overthrown" makes me go from six to midnight. Just saying.

Name makes me think this is going to have some old glam influence. Not seriously of course, but kind of an odd name.

Hey, Unskathed123... How do you feel about the song "Overthrown" and how pumped are you about the new The Black Dahlia Murder album? I was really curious and it is thus far unclear.

It could also be ridiculously heavy and fast without much substance like all of their other music. I'm not complaining.
