I just never could get into this album. It's filled with cheesy keyboard and guitar lines that are somewhat like very poor Muse B-sides. And not to mention with lyrics like,
Life is short
So learn from your mistakes
And stand behind
The choices that you make
just shows the lack of originality. The title track is an excercise of overtly long pretnetious material that seems like they wanted an epic instead of letting it flow. And that song can describe this entire album, forced.

This is the new Muse, or at least, the newest Muse. And I love it. The cheesy dance/electronic sythns are ever so prevalent. Absolution is my favorite but with a band like Muse, maybe change isn't so bad.
John Mayer Continuum4.5
This is an album that shold out all John Mayer haters to rest. It showcases his guitar abilities and songwriting. As an excellent chill out album it has a wide variety as well. Despite a few lacking songs, this is an essential pop album.
Muse Absolution5.0
Streetlight Manifesto Everything Goes Numb5.0
This is an album not only for ska fans but fans of music in general. It has chaotic but catchy song structures. The BPM is certainly cranked up. Tom's voice spits out lyrics about life/suicide/being alone with rapid precision. This is what ska should be. Fast, fun, and meaningful. My favorite ska album of all time.
