Rally Cats Strictly For Your Own Pleasure | 3.5 |
Rally Cats are living a lie. We all know their track, Let's cover a Beatles Song is
really a cover of Brian Eno's Sky Saw. Hopefully Eno receives proper compensation. I
hear he accepts back rubs. |

Local H Local H's Awesome Mix Tape #1 | 3.5 |
Actually picked up the cassette version of this the other day. Mostly for the novelty
and it was nice to double the size of my tape collection. As far as cover albums go this
isn't bad. Wolf Like Me, Blood Stains, and especially Time all sound great. I just wish
I knew how to work my tape player so I could listen to this more often. |

Social Distortion White Light White Heat White Trash | 5.0 |
Everything came together perfectly for this Social D record. They've always had a cool punk attitude and their self titled album was a big step forward instrumentally but on this one Mike Ness finally perfected his version of lyric writing. Although it only lasted for one release, he limits his tough guy lyricism that he loves to write. These are replaced with the confessional reminiscing of a man taking responsibility for his behavior and its affects on others. Plus turning Under My Thumb into a punk classic was an epic way to end the cd. |
