Brian Fallon Local Honey | 4.5 |
I love this. the storytelling is stunning. It is toned down and relatively simple, but I love the atmosphere
that was created here. One of the criticisms is that Fallon could only write with melody and hooks and
by referencing nostalgia and the past, and while that is still present here, this record oozes with
originality and is the record I feel like he needed to make. It is different for him yet still feels like it is in
his wheelhouse. |

For having not been together in nearly a decade this album is not bad. The first 3 tracks are great, and while the middle is a little lackluster, the end is pretty good. Still wished there was a little more from John here as his voice is not as prevalent as on Tell all Your Friends, though that may have been intentional as Adam is the stronger singer |
