This album was above average; in terms of Eminem's discography, this album, quality wise, falls in between Relapse and the Eminem Show. Black Emperor F♯ A♯ ∞4.5The soundtrack for the end of the world. I gave this a 4.5 because there are some parts of the album that just don't flow. The rating might change though, this is the first album I've listened to by this band. Wu-Tang Clan Wu-Tang Forever4.0D12 The Underground EP3.5The EP is good, not great, but good. It has the signature D12 sound and the listener can feel the inner Detroit sound. In other words, the album has an industrial, urban sound as well as a battle feel to it. Bizarre offers his typical twisted humor, Eye-Kyu spits with is compound syllable flow, and the rest are on point. Kuniva delivers, Mr. Porter (Kon Artist) delivers, and Bugz delivers. Proof and Eminem dominate in terms of rhyming skill. Proof spits complicated and aggressive rhymes at ease with a slick composure while Eminem bombards the ears with his classic style, as heard in Infinite as well as tracks prior to his debut album (Biterphobia, ***in' Backstabber). Proof raps "I love killin beef so I kill a whole cow pasture// lyrically I'm sick, ill everything but sober my nickle plate pack the...jackin fool get ***ed over" followed by Eminem spitting "my intentions to injure// and to prevent ya from enterin' from the edge of my center// or get your mutha***in' pants split at the creases// ***in' you intellectually, givin' you mentally sexually transmitted diseases". The Underground EP by D12 is a real insight on the innards of Detroit in the late 90's.The Notorious B.I.G. Life After Death4.01996 2Pac The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory4.0Eminem Infinite2.5The level of skill that is heard on this album is insane. The technicality of the rhymes, the complexity of the flows, the pitches, the phonetic rhymes and linguistic twists; Eminem is at one of his best. This a 4.5 only because of the skill. If this album was artistically composed, had outstanding production, and rose in the conceptual area, it would've been a classic. Westside Connection Bow Down4.02Pac All Eyez on Me4.0DJ Shadow Endtroducing.....5.0DJ Shadow created an album which sounds like a combination of the last fifty years of music history, truly impeccable. The sampling is genius, the drive is genius, the substance is apparent throughout. This is excellent, between a 4.5 and a 5.Jay-Z Reasonable Doubt4.0Nas It Was Written4.01995 GZA Liquid Swords4.0GZA has created, literally, a near perfect album. This a true hip hop classic and one of the greatest albums of all time (in hip hop at least).
