Sort by: Rating | Release Date | Rating Date | Name2015 Refused Freedom1.0Possibly the most disappointing album I've ever heard. Refused's attempts at experimentalism and restraint come out sounding clumsy and overdrawn and yet even worse are their bouts of impotent rage. With the loss of Jon Brannstrom, Refused has lost the dynamic guitar riffs and sample manipulation that made them special, and traded them in for studio polish and inept blues riffs. Exaggerating every aspect of The Blood Brothers sound to create a ferocious amalgam of styles that will either win you over or drive nails through your skull. Mathy, catchy, noisy, melodic, what the Blood Brothers have on display is full of contradictions and disparate influences, but ultimately works to create a sound that might never be achieved again.Billy Talent Billy Talent4.0Off Minor The Heat Death of the Universe4.52002 Botch An Anthology of Dead Ends5.0Minus the Bear Highly Refined Pirates4.0Maximum the Hormone Mimi Kajiru3.5Glassjaw Worship and Tribute4.0The Paper Chase Hide the Kitchen Knives4.5Love Like... Cuddlemonster is having your face pounded in for 15 minutes, and the short bursts of melody are the fleeting seconds of bliss in which you think you're about to die, only to return to having your face pounded in.2000 Green Day Warning3.5Thingy To The Innocent5.0At the Drive-In Relationship of Command5.0At the Drive-in pretty much renders most punk bands obsolete. While Relationship of Command is a masterstroke in it's own right, in/Casino/Out embodies a whole different set of emotions, with the infinitely catchy, almost pop-punk style of For Now... Brainiac has been called the most underrated band ever, and their influence has been attributed to bands such as At the Drive-in, The Blood Brothers and The Locust.
