another solid exhumed album, but the lack of girth compared to necrocracy hurts it a lot

Napalm Death Apex Predator - Easy Meat4.0
Loses a lot of the more technical style found on Utilitarian in favour of catchier but still pretty organic death-grind format. Probably their best album since Enemies Of The Music Business or possibly even their early stuff.

Ne Obliviscaris Citadel4.0

Pretty predictable but well executed and highly listenable.

A better produced and smoother album than its predecessor. Still got an excellent guitar performance and the drums are excellent this time. Unified definitely sticks out as a highlight.

Compared to their last two this is a lot more boring, less groovy and too dense in sound in the wrong kind of way. Still a decent brutal death metal albumr
Loudblast Burial Ground3.5
Not quite as kicking as their last album, still solid with some great moments here and there. More of the straight death metal elements this time

It's rather like a more focused and effective Obscura. Works well overall.

Deicide In the Minds of Evil3.0
Feared Vinter3.5
Good step up from Furor. More aggressive, less monotonous riffs and catchier. Leads are much better too.

the single is the worst track out of the ones I've heard, not too bad
Fates Warning Darkness in a Different Light4.0
Broken Hope Omen of Disease3.0
Master The Witchhunt3.0
Diabolical Neogenesis3.5
An extremely expansive and ambitious album, which suffers from a cluttered production job but that is largely impressive with a lot of good riffs and a generally epic feel. Good for fans of Behemoth but a lot less straightforward sounding.
New Model Army Between Dog And Wolf4.0
mmmmmm is good. Probably their most experimental album and pretty catchy
Carcass Surgical Steel4.0
Gorguts Colored Sands4.0
Haken The Mountain4.0
Fleshgod Apocalypse Labyrinth2.5
Revocation Revocation3.5
Exhumed Necrocracy4.0
Predictable and slower than their last work, but it's consistently strong and the melodic
elements work better here than ever. Vocals have taken a slight step down, but it's still
above average in that department. The Carrion Call is probably the best track to start with
and is easily one of the catchiest here.

Soilwork The Living Infinite4.0
Hilariously cheesy, but coincidentally extremely fun.
Rotting Christ Kata Ton Demona Eaftou4.0
Saxon Sacrifice3.0
Feared Furor Incarnatus3.0
A pretty decent album. Ola can produce some excellent melodic moments, and some occasionally very brutal ones, but it can lose itself in some poorer, more monotonous riffs. That said, it can be pretty groovy.

Despite not liking this for a while, I think it deserves credit for pulling off a generic tech death style quite well and a way that is quite well structured by the genres standards. I enjoy it a lot more now that I don't take it so seriously.

Seems that the lack of Sneap has let Dave have a mid-life crisis on a couple of tracks. Never Dead, Deadly Nightshade, New World Order, Fast Lane, Black Swan, and a few moments on Public Enemy are fun, catchy and thrashy, but some songs here are either familiar returns or dull.

Hugely impressive progressive thrash album. I haven't heard Demolition but this rips far beyond other extreme thrash releases like Inventor Of Evil. Funnily enough it reminds me of a mix of Destruction (drums and vocals, some riffs), Metallica (Most of the riffs) and Voivod (the progressiveness).

I got my first taste of this album accidentally as there was an error on Spotify that caused "Tortured Soul Appearance" from this to replace "Excoriating Abdominal Emination" from Carcass's Symphonies Of Sickness. While it obvious that it didn't belong on that album, it was still pretty catchy and heavy, and the rest of this album follows suit. One of the few reallllly solid modern death metal albums.
