And this album proves it.Dealing with their selection of best songs (not singles) and without ignoring any period of the band, the compilation is just stellar. And Am I the only one who still gets excited after the initial moments of Popscene?2008 Oasis Dig Out Your Soul3.02007 Arctic Monkeys Favourite Worst Nightmare3.52006 Arctic Monkeys Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not4.52004 Morrissey You Are the Quarry3.52003 Radiohead Hail to the Thief4.02002 The Stone Roses The Very Best of The Stone Roses4.0Beck Sea Change4.02000 U2 All That You Can't Leave Behind4.01999 Rage Against the Machine The Battle of Los Angeles4.01997 Oasis Be Here Now2.5Radiohead OK Computer5.0Blur Blur3.51996 Beck Odelay4.0Rage Against the Machine Evil Empire3.01995 Oasis (What's the Story) Morning Glory?4.5Radiohead The Bends4.5Pulp Different Class3.51994 Oasis Definitely Maybe4.5Jeff Buckley Grace5.0Blur Parklife4.5Nine Inch Nails The Downward Spiral5.0Frank Sinatra My Way: The Best of Frank Sinatra4.51993 Pearl Jam Vs.4.5Nirvana In Utero4.0Blur Modern Life Is Rubbish4.01992 Rage Against the Machine Rage Against the Machine4.5R.E.M. Still, this is one incredible album and the talent of the remaining members cant be denied. From the hipnotic "I wanna be adored" to the dreamy "Waterfall" to the danceble "I am the resurrection" this album shines the whole way. Sounding both fresh and influenced by the 60s,the fact that the Roses captured a whole era continues to amaze.1988 Metallica ...And Justice for All3.51987 The Smiths Strangeways, Here We Come4.0R.E.M. Still, songs like How Soon is Now,Well I Wonder and I Want The One I Cant Have can trully be considered Smiths classics and help the album a lot. If you are new to The Smiths,go elsewhere(The Queen is Dead). If you like the other albums too, then you will enjoy Meat Is Murder.1984 The Smiths Hatful of Hollow4.5U2 The Unforgettable Fire3.5Bob Marley and The Wailers Legend5.0The Smiths The Smiths4.01983 U2 War3.5R.E.M. The rest is just mediocre.Only self titled and Sweet Emotion arent that bad,but still. The rest is either generic or unispired. After loads of recommendations that this was a classic album,it was pretty dissapointing. 1971 The Who Who's Next4.51970 The Who Live at Leeds4.01967 The Velvet Underground The Velvet Underground & Nico4.5The Doors The Doors3.51966 The Beatles Revolver5.01959 Miles Davis Kind of Blue5.0
