ima rate this eventually. avant-garde fusion. wes montgomery meets john mclaughlin jazz. plus its got some nice ravi coltrane(yes, THE john coltranes son). this is more adventurous than gilmores previous efforts, but still maintains his aesthetic accessibility.

wheres the love for bill evans? easily one the handful of musicians who can be considered some the greatest minds of the 21st century. ive never been a fan of piano solos, so it takes a DAMN good musician to make me sit listen to a trio like this. amazing album, not as amazing as his two village vanguard recordings(sunday at the v.v, waltz for debby).
