I wanted a band that was intense and heavy. Suicidal Tendencies, in my opinion, is the ultimate of its genre and time. Upon hearing their self titled album, I was hooked. I loved the comic lines mixed with unique instrumental, but most of all I loved the fact that this band was TRULY against government and not afraid to say so in their songs. For example, the song "subliminal" is in fact about the government controlling everyone subliminally. Songs "I Shot the Devil" and "Fascist Pig" were aimed more directly at President Reagan. And the majority of their other songs that were not about government disestablishment, were about suicide (an equally important subject). Suicidal Tedencies has earned my respect, as it has many others.D.R.I. Dirty Rotten4.51979 Pink Floyd The Wall3.51974 Aerosmith Get Your Wings3.5
