lol @ bandcamp just cancelling all the orders for this. Rightfully so. |
The Re-Stoned Thunders of the Deep | 3.5 |
Lucid Planet II | 4.5 |
While the first album is some well-made Tool worship, this one is much more than that. Mixing in Psytrance, Dub and Electronica into their already very psychedelic take on Prog Metal, they create a really diverse and exciting experience on this album. |

Die Aerzte Hell | 3.5 |
Their best since like what? 20 years? Lot of nostalgia for me, but there sincerely some amazing songs on it. |
Big Scenic Nowhere Lavender Blues | 3.5 |
Tracks 1 and 3 are excellent, not really into that second track. Also what is this line-up? In addition to the core line-up of members from Yawning Man, Fu Manchu and Mos Generator it also features Per Wiberg from Opeth and Spiritual Beggars on synths, Daniel Mograine from Voivod on guitars and Chris Goss from Masters Of Reality and producer of Kyuss on guitars. I mean WTF, chill guys it's an 24 minutes EP, I didn't even notice that there are three guitarists. |

Fliptrix Light Work | 1.0 |
Oh lord, Fliptrix arrived at tinfoil hat anti mask, anti vaccine, anti 5g rap. Scamdemic? Really? This is super cringe and dangerous because stupid people believe this crap. Had big respect for this guy and the High Focus label in general, but wow, whats next? A flat earth rap with B.o.B.? |

Better than the last two. Rats in Ruin is a stunning song. Maybe their best. |
The Atomic Bitchwax Scorpio | 4.0 |
They've become stoner rocks Motorhead at this point: They found their ideal sound and stuck with it, because it bloody works, it's headbanger after headbanger after headbanger. Fucking rocks. Cover art is ugly af tho |
Motorpsycho The All Is One | 5.0 |
I've listened to this all week and I was blown away every time and couldn't find even a weak part of a song. So fuck it I'm 5ing this. |

Black Moon Mother Illusions Under the Sun | 3.5 |
Daily Thompson Oumuamua | 3.0 |
ADAM SUN | 3.5 |
A lot of Soundgarden worship mixed with psychedelic and stoner grooves. Also great production. Really enjoyable. |
Blues Pills Holy Moly! | 2.5 |
It has some decent songs ('Low Road', 'Song From A Mourning Dove') but also and even more so than Lady in Gold it has really cringeworthy moments lyrically and musically. Don't see them releasing anything close in quality of their first LP and EPs in the future. |

Kadavar (DE) The Isolation Tapes | 3.0 |
I have mixed feelings about this: on the one
hand I'm happy that they changed up their
sound and didn't just make another kadavar
album on autopilot with no new ideas. On the
other hand the Pink Floyd worship on the first
half of the album is just too much for its own
good and the second half is just not
particullary interesting (also Everything is
Changing sounds waaay too much like Ozzys
Dreamer). But overall it's not as boring and
forgettable as the last one and quite
enjoyable. |

1000MODS Youth of Dissent | 2.0 |
Instead of recording in Greece with the same people they worked with on the first three recordings, they've decided to go over seas and record at a studio in america to (probably) create a new and fresh sound. And god this was a bad idea. They sound like a dull version of themselve, the singing is off, the fuzz is gone, no headbangers and everything sounds so clean when it's supposed to sound dirty and distorted. They've gone from one of modern stoners finest acts to badly produced alt-rock. Should have called this Groove in Descent. Rant over. |

How are they not the hottest thing out there right now? Red Star 1 & 2 is absolutely sick |

Infected Mushroom Head of NASA and the 2 Amish Boys | 4.0 |
If someone told me two years ago, Infected Mushroom is signing to Monstercat and release a good, actually psytrance, record, I would've laughed my ass off. But here we are now, this album is really good and not trying hard to recreate their sound from the 90s and ultimately failing like the last record, instead having a unique, modern psytrance sound. (even though the singing on Walking on the Moon is terrible) |
