Fairly standard Balzac. Paranoia is a huge standout track.

Between the Buried and Me The Anatomy Of1.5
Technically sound but absolutely lifeless covers of songs by bands that influenced BTBAM. No reason to listen to the covers instead of the original, aside from maybe the King Crimson cover, which is alright.

Blood Stain Child The Legend1.5
This shows a complete lack of understanding of what made their music so appealing in the
first place. Lots of unnecessary changes that diminish the impact of the most powerful
moments of these songs. The earlier stuff fares a bit better than the later stuff, since
the band has evolved so much that the changes to the songs feel more warranted.

At least the new song is good.

None of these tracks do anything super interesting, but they're all well-constructed, infectious, and extremely fun. Bonus points for the intro track being an RM solo performance, as he's my favorite member.

Imagine Dream Theater but in the 80s. It's fairly enjoyable but nothing special.

Dream Theater A Dramatic Turn of Events3.5
The departure of Portnoy seemingly refreshed the band and got them away from the awkward metal sound. This is the best DT has sounded in a while.

Average rock and post-hardcore songs with a few standout tracks.

An absolutely incredible opening track followed by four bland covers. I suppose as covers, they're acceptable, but these are Ghost covers. Ghost covers were always better than this.

Skrillex Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites4.0
I feel Skrillex is unfairly hated. This ep combines different styles of electronic music,
and makes for a very fun release.
Snow White's Poison Bite Dr. Gruesome And The Gruesome Gory Horror Show1.0
Don't even bother. If you really MUST have scene kids making obvious horror movie references, listen to Ice Nine Kills instead (but even then, I feel like you can find something better)
