Ion Dissonance Breathing Is Irrelevant4.0
Ion Dissonance is the most technical band I have ever heard. With their changing of time signatures every measure and their unusual chords and riffs, it's incomprehensible yet extremely gratifying. I suppose once you get into this, 4/4 seems too simple.

Metallica Death Magnetic3.0
Well, it was a change from Load - St. Anger, but Metallica's desire to win back fans by going to their old philosophies ended up with a dry, mechanical album. It's not terrible, but it's not great either.

This album is AMAZING. A classic in prog metal. Yeah, Underneath the Waves probably kept me from rating this a 5, but it was still a solid song and the album as a whole was amazing.
Testament The New Order5.0
This album is freaking classic, amazing songs that I can listen to over and over again until I'm old and musty and Testament become oldies metal.
