Alexisonfire Watch Out! | 3.5 |
This album is quite inspiring. Hightlights include Dallas Green's beautiful vocals, which without them this would be rated much lower. Unique but not groundbreaking drumming keep the music interesting. The only downside is the sloppy screaming at times but it is listenable. A step in the right direction from their self-titled. |

It's a real shame that these guys have called it quits. Although this is their last album they went out with quite a bang. This is political post hardcore at its best. Many different styles of modern rock are integrated from straight up hardcore to pop punk to even ska-core elements in the mix. Straight up inspiring lyrics and vocals also add a really nice touch to the album. R.I.P. Boysetsfire |

Poison the Well The Opposite of December | 4.0 |
In my opinion, this is one of the greatest metalcore album ever. Chugging guitars are about and the best scream in metalcore is present along with crisp and clean drumming. The only disapointment is only nine songs and not even making it over the thirty minute mark. Despite the shortness, it does not bring down the rating one bit. You can't say your into metalcore or hardcore if you haven't heard this album. |

Something Corporate North | 3.0 |
Something Corporate's North delivers good, yet sometimes depressing pop punk with piano thrown in. The only song that reminds you of previous songs is 21 And Invincible which may be one of the best pop punk songs ever with it's catchy and clever lyrics. Frontman Andrew McMahon is really the only member who stands out mainly because of his voice. All the other members sadly could be replaced. |
Something Corporate Leaving Through The Window | 3.5 |
My favorite pop punk album of all time. If your looking for catchy pop punk that just makes you want to get up and dance. Look no further. I didn't think I would like this because I had only heard North and I was digging the sadness of the songs being the teenage boy I am. Boy was I wrong. I swear frontman Andrew Mcmahon reminds me of Daryll Palumbo. Just toned down. A must own for pop punk fans. I'm not even into pop punk anymore yet I still love this. |
System of a Down Toxicity | 4.0 |
The Fall of Troy Doppelganger | 4.5 |
Thrice The Artist in the Ambulance | 4.5 |
Sometimes I wonder that if I would have heard this before Thursday's War All The Time, would Thrice be my favorite band? Anyway, the point is Thrice really delivers here with post hardcore goodness. Vocalist Dustin Kensrue really delivers with the singing and the screaming and his voice just matches perfectly with the music. |
Thrice The Illusion of Safety | 5.0 |
Thrice Vheissu | 5.0 |
The best word to describe this album is "Epic". Every song has an epic feel and yet only one song makes it over the five minute mark, close to six in fact. A step in a different direction but what amazing results. Still some hardcore elements mixed in that keep it "Thricey" if you will. Dustins voice and scream are better than ever as well. If your into Thrice, this is a must buy and if you're not because you were turned off by previous albums, please consider this. |
Thursday War All the Time | 5.0 |
My first Thursday album and definitely not my last. This is the post hardcore veterans' major label debut. There is nothing to fear however. From start to finish, the album pulls you in and never let's go. From the brutal opener For The Workforce, Drowning to the beaufitul War All The Time, and the haunting Tommorow I'll Be You, every band member has something great to contribute to each song. From lead singer Geoff Rickly's powerful voice and lyrics to Tucker Rule's unique style and unpredictable drumming, the album never gets old. Shredding guitars and bass as well as keyboards/synthesizer also make this nothing short of a classic. |
Thursday Full Collapse | 5.0 |
My second and favorite Thursday album. This is the one that realized that Blink-182 was out and Thursday was in as my favorite band. This has many Thursday classics on it such as Understanding In A Car Crash, Autobiography Of A Nation, A Hole In The World, Cross Out The Eyes, and Paris In Flames. This album is full of emotion all the way through. I still find it hard to believe that this was released on Victory Records. The songs deal with real issues, but they aren't laid out in front of you. An example is Paris In Flames on alienation. The songs on here are also the best ones played live. This is my favorite album of all time. |
Thursday Waiting | 5.0 |
Thursday first album which was released on NJ based label EyeBall Records. The music has a raw feel to it. But it fits so perfectly to the album. Close your eyes and you'll swear your in a basement seeing Thursday play. Downside is only nine tracks but what a nine tracks it is. I swear you'll be shaken by the closer "Where The Circle Ends". A beautiful spoken track that ends perfectly. "And as we turn the pages, we call out the sounds of a vanishing alphabet, Standing here waiting..."

Thursday Five Stories Falling | 5.0 |
The only thing bad about this album is the price. Thursday has even said that if you want Jet Black New Year or the other live songs that you should download them. Four songs from Full Collapse played live, Autobiography Of A Nation even has a special longer intro. It's very cool to hear the crowd scream lines of the songs. But this is nowhere near seeing Thursday live. It was a great way to satiate fans the period between Full Collapse and War All The Time. |

Underoath They're Only Chasing Safety | 2.0 |
UnderOATH's darkest hour is responsible by this album. I can't help but be disapointed by the whole band and what they brought to this album. Is this really the same band that made The Changing Of Times, minus Spencer? Generic lyrics and myspace headline quotes are about everywhere. Highlights include Aarons singing but it doesn't help or enhance Spencers sloppy and screechy scream. |
