extremely underrated/misunderstood project, and I'm not even that fond of it
Billie Eilish When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?2.0
a full-length album of Bille Eyelash ASMR whispering while her brother is going to hell and back on the production to keep listeners from flatlining out of boredom, and failing miserably. this thing is somehow offensively lowkey and horribly over the top at the same time

alternatively, this is basically sbeve the album and it's really fucking ironic that it came out in the midst of the "14 yo white girls" meme because it's the exact embodiment of that (I mean, listen to 8 and tell me it's not basically white girl mediocre ukulele piece 101)

just to give it some credit, bad guy, bury a friend and you should see me kinda bang but literally everything else ranges from extremely annoying and garishly overacted to so drab it's a crime against humanity, and it all culminates in the closing three fucking ballads back to back, each of which somehow tick both of these boxes and I had to actually force myself to even sit through this thing once from front to back.

TL;DR: All of her success is obscenely unwarranted and the album is about 75% total trash

Maybe a tad bit overrated, just as much as Daisy is underrated. It's like it's siphoning attention from that album, especially how it seems to age better than Daisy. Amazing album regardless, despite the fact that it does fall apart in the second half.

The best they've done since their absolute masterpiece and classic Antidotes, which is a pretty
big thing, and it's almost all killer, just like that album. This is pretty much a new artistic
peak for them, and I'm actually looking forward to what they do next, which I didn't think I would
ever do since I've heard What Went Down for the first time. Also, Sunday is one of the best tracks
they've ever written, up there with Tron, Heavy Water, Glaciers, and maybe even better than
Spanish Sahara, Late Night or Moon. Really impressed with this one.

One of the best punk albums I have ever heard. Agressive, biting, witty, passionate, catharctic,
entertaining, straightforward but still very deep, all that punk should be and should've been from
the get-go. Fucking love the non-punk influences the album toys with, most notably on Colossus and
June, those tracks along with the outro to Rottweiler provide the most atmospheric, haunting and
demented moments on the album, June being absolutely emotionally crushing, whereas tracks like
Danny Nedelko and Great provide us with supremely catchy and frankly uplifting bangers. Absolutely
love the lyrics through and through, Television and Samaritans are absolute highlights lyrically
and their messages resonate with me a lot. Fantastic album that's probably gonna end up very high
on my year-end list.

I couldn't stand what they were doing up to this year, but I don't even find myself shocked over rhow much I love this. TOTEP was perfect, and this falls just the tiniest bit short of that rperfection. Love how the bubbleguminess of the vocals and synths are now used to contrast the rdarker themes and instrumentation, as opposed to making a sickeningly sweet amalgam with each other and nothing elserlike they did on their previous efforts. The lyrics are also incomparably more meaningful, and rkudos for getting rid of the awful japanese pseudo-"rapping" she did on most of their tracks. I'm rkind of a dick for saying this, considering this album does not come from a good place in their rlives, but I hope they keep going this way.

This psychedelic-ish direction should be the direction for hip hop to head in after trap inevitably dies. Absolute bangers and a very eccentric and captivating sound and mood from start to finish, took a while to really click with me but it ended up being my third favourite hip hop album of the year so far (second if you don't count Death Grips whose new album doesn't have too much to do with hip hop really)

after second listen I'm preemptively giving this a 5 because instrumentally, structurally and
mood-wise this is their best album yet and I can probably tick the box on the lyrics being as
dense and poetic as ever, only problem I have with this thing is the vocals being mixed really low
but after a couple readings of the lyrics it will come to me by heart anyway. I'm completely in
awe of how they've reinvented themselves again and created another fucking masterpiece after
Wildlife which may actually be as good as that record is, maybe even better. Also this album also
has little to no duds, like Wildlife had, and the tracks here are a lot more expansive, moody and
progressive, basically a bunch of Last Lost Continents but with the added nuance of everything
they've dabbled in ever since. Holy shit.

Edit: can I give it a 6

Edit: Please push this over the score of Somewhere I'm begging you, it's infinitely fucking better

after hearing 4 tracks I'm convinced this is the most overrated album in all of music history, possibly the sappiest and most grating thing I've never heard because I'd kms if I listened to the whole thing
The Microphones The Glow Pt. 25.0
one of the greatest eccentric noisy indie folk albums of all time, on par with anything
Neutral Milk Hotel has done, which is funny considering Phil literally transforms into
Jeff Mangum during the "my blooooooooooooooood flows harshly" passage, the resemblance is
uncanny. I'm still only merely getting to know it, but I'm pretty sure this is one of the
greatest musical projects I've ever heard.
Travis Scott Rodeo3.5
Travis Scott Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight4.0

Their best project yet by far, much more mature, much less teensy and obnoxious than anything
they've done before, absolute earworms (Morph, Chlorine, The Hype for example), some surprisingly
hard-hitting tracks (Jumpsuit/Levitate are simply their best tracks yet), meaningful lyrics that
feel less forced than ever and the songs rarely overstay their welcome. The rapping has improved a
whole lot aswell. Though the album really falls asleep towards the end, has a couple tracks that
are way too teensy and tongue-in-cheek for my liking (Smithereens and Legend namely), and boasts a
very underwhelming closer with Leave the City, it's a major improvement on all fronts worked into
a captivating new sound that finally sort of justifies their place in the music industry.
Tyler, the Creator Cherry Bomb4.0
Tyler, the Creator Flower Boy5.0
my favourite hip hop album of all time in terms of production, it's truly original, vast,
explorative, jazzy, atmospheric, and fun, fun, fun, fun, fun. Love everything about Tyler's flows,
lyricism, delivery, even his singing, and the features. This thing is like an infamous cartoon
villain coming to an agreement with the protagonist and deciding to tread the right path instead
of wreaking havoc everywhere he walks, and boy am I here for it. I simply cannot find anything not
to love about this album. It just lifts my spirits every time I listen to it, and Garden Shed is
simply one of the most amazing tracks I've ever heard. I cannot wait to see what he does next, and
if he manages to top this I'm most certain I'm gonna fucking die.
