| 3.5 great | ChaoticVortex | August 10th 18 | The first instance of Yngwie Malmsteen releasing an overlong and musically inconsistent album (two features that sadly became consistent problems with him). Still Fire and Ice boasts highly impressive fretwork and enough neo-classical powerhouses that makes you forget the weak, radio-rockers that plauge the first half of the record.

| 3.5 great | manosg EMERITUS | June 9th 16 | Yngwie Malmsteen injects to his music the most neoclassical elements since Rising Force. However, his songwriting is still on a really high level and songs like "C'est La Vie", "The Final Curtain" and the title track are some of the best of his career. The stronger body of work is located in the middle and some fat could have definitely been trimmed which results in an unnecessarily long album.
