I listened to this while recovering from drinking alot of alcohol at 3AM in a field in the middle of nowhere. I lay down and looked up at the night sky above me, and I literally felt as if I was in space. This album completely changed me, and I listened to it over and over again until dawn on my friend's iPod.
Looking back, I realize that I had heard nothing like it before, sure I'd heard keyboard orientated black metal, but never such music that synthesized the weightless feeling of space with the hard reality of Earth. The unrelenting Slavic brutality coupled with the sheer beauty of layered ambient magnificence really hit me hard, especially in the first few minutes of "Manifesto of the Unity".
Truly beautiful music.
