A classic in Buckethead's canon, Giant Robot features several hallmarks of Buckethead lore: the Bucketheadland theme park, bizarre voice samples, movie themes, and genres performed as diverse as heavy metal, funk, and acoustic balladry. This is by no means a perfect record-- namely, some songs go on way too long ("I Come in Peace," "Buckethead's Toy Store")-- but there is such creativity here, and the performances are great.

This is one of my all time favourites, the CD as a whole is perfect. The voice overs are funny and tell a story, especially "Post Office Buddy" is great, the music gets more aggressive as the song progresses. Highlights are "Welcome to Bucketheadland", "Bucketheadīs Toystore", "Binge And Grab", "Post Office Buddy". Of course, many people wonīt like this album, sometimes it may be cheesy or filler-ish for some people, but for me, it totally worked.

I love something about this album - be it the quirkiness, the interesting guitar work, or simply an album from a big, tall guy in a costume making music about his hypothetical abusement park, but this is a staple for anyone who wants to give BigB a shot past some of his better, later solo works e.g. Decoding The Tomb of Bansheebot.
