Even a 3/5 may sound a bit exaggerative considering this is an album of '99. By this time people already have heard (personally) better industrial music from even mainstream industrial figures such as Nine Inch Nails (Downward Spiral), White Zombie (Astro-Creep), and even Filter (Short Bus). This album has "sections" of good material scattered in this album's tracklist. Some of these pieces can be found in, to name a few, tracks 1, 3, 5, 7, and 12. Track 8 is an "eh" cover - definitely nothing to Godflesh's Christbait Rising (tribute to the rhythm section of Eric B & Rakim's Microphone Fiend). Personally not an industrial album I would invest my money in unless you're looking into some VERY MILD industrial.

There is Debonaire, Everything Sucks and You Spin Me Round. The rest is filler. Stylistically somewhere between Manson and Korn

'Debonaire' was one of the tracks I used to listen a lot back in the day. Felons and Revolutionaries leans towards an industrial metal sound rather than a nu-metal one. Despite some nice elements such as the sharp riffing and the energy, I never really became a fan of this sub-genre and any of its leading acts like Marilyn Manson and White Zombie. Recommendations: "Debonaire", "Kimberly's Ghost"

Use to like this band a lot more, this is their album with at least a handful of anthems for the genre of Nu Metal personally, but the filler tracks are enough to advise towards other bands like Taproot or Godsmack

Strong 3 - Another band I've listened to when I was 13 or so...YAY
Nu-metal, Industrial rock and alt.metal...prepubescent....Yeah A lot...but strangely enjoyable to this day. Lyrics aside, this album is filled with one catchy song after another, offering extremely accesible industrial rock, that lacks in originality and diversity, but is very enjoyable and entertaining. Just don't think about It.
Most of these songs sound like b-sides from Manson's ,,Antichrist Superstar'' with worse lyricism

Not as good as Life, but this is a debut album, and for a debut this is pretty good

Dope is an odd band. The First time I heard them was in a video, where it was playing the song "Die MF Die" in the background. I liked it, so I bought the album Life (which is a decent album as well, slightly better than this one IMO). Then after listening to that album quite a bit, I wanted more of the band. So I picked up this album.
One thing that sticks out on this album is the "electronic" feel of it. It almost feels like techno-metal. This makes this album much more unique than "Life", but it also makes it more subjective to a certain type of listener. Some people may like it, others may despise it. One other thing is that the recording quality of this album is not quite as good as "Life's".
So this album is decent, but nothing all that special. It's unique...but some would say it's a little too unique. Give it a listen if you're a Dope fan, or if you want something different for a change.
