One thing that makes me enjoy this CD is the vocal diversity. For example, in the first song, titled "Minion", the vocalist(s) use low growls, high screams, clean singing (reminiscent of "Evanescence" in it's sound), and kinda "distorted" singing. Also, the guitar riffs are decent, however, unless I somehow missed it, the entire CD seems devoid of solos. The drummer uses double bass very well, and is pretty technical in his grooves.
For being a relatively new band, this CD is excellent.

Bleed the Sky's first full-length record is an admirable effort which tries its hand at amalgamating metalcore with the sounds of groove and nu metal, for a greater portion of Paradigm in Entropy; it's not what I would call 'different' or 'sensational,' but it holds up very well for what BtS was trying to accomplish here.

This album is surprisingly ambitious, coupling metalcore with some nu-metal and industrial themes and also trying to take on some serious lyrical themes. It doesn't totally succeed in either department, but there are great moments nonetheless. The Martyr is the best example of this, a melodic nu-metal kind of song that manages to be catchy and compelling. Overall, greater than the sum of its parts, but still flawed.

Bleed the Sky's first "true" studio effort is a more interesting example of an album that's not quite there, if not by much. Just about everything here is functional and familiar, but not in any way to the point of carrying it higher than the heap it's inherently stuck within.

Overall a very interesting and varied album, it has a lot of cool momments, the vocal work is great and so is the drumming, the guitar work may lack of solos but it's still interesting and works for the album, great debute and hopefully more will come soon

Am sending a 4. just because is what "k4t4lyst" said...this is a new band, their first musical cd effort. Its not a WOW cd, but for being the first, its ok. well not ok, great. lol. but um theres a lack of solos.
