this album is absolutely incredible - it would be the last where they would retain their dissonant groove rock/no-wave sound. every track is incredible but the standout here would have to be "Symphony of Treble" - it has the guitarist hitting all of these weird harmonic notes while the bass lays down this ridiculously evil sounding groove - a definite must for anyone who wants to look into the roots of the band.

Blonde Redhead isn't Just As Good at being Unwound as Unwound are, even if they poached their bassist. Poor, uninspired trendhopping from serial offenders in this crime (see: their debut's Sonic Youth aping, and 23's shoegaze).
