Underwhelming as it might have been, Lies for the Liars had at least some replay value and the creepiness - although narmtastic even for The Used standards - added to the album's charm somewhat. Meanwhile, Artwork demonstrated serious growth and its slightly disturbing nature worked wonders for these guys. So what to say about Vulnerable, you may be wondering? It's typical Used fare, but with more of a subtle, electronic twist to the mix. This release signified a rather messed-up turn of events for the band, culminating in the disaster that was Imaginary Enemy. Bert McCracken's vocals are fine here and if you're been with TU since Day One, there's a few tracks that could certainly stand out, even if nothing else on the recording will.

Seriously, this album is not very good. Fans of The Used self-titled album have long since moved on because that version of the band is dead. I still check out their new albums just incase they ever go back to that but it's never the case. The lyrics in this album are just so bad, I read they completed this album in 10 days and you can tell.

Any album that has songs everyone should appreciate gets at least a 4. Give Me Love was on endless repeat for me for a while.

Don't let the "electronic rock" tag fool you. In fact, it was barely noticeable, and when it is it seems necessary and fitting. Vulnerable just proves that The Used still know how to have fun and not release the same thing over and over again.

Honestly, I love this album! Vulnerable retains what you would expect from The Used while keeping it refreshing throughout. Tim Burton would approve this album.

I've been a fan of The Used since '04. Sadly it seems The Used will never meet the rexpectations they gave me from their self titled album still I don't think this album is rbad, actually it's pretty good. I might change my mind with more listens but right now I rthink the only album they've made that might be worse is Lies for the Liars. If you love rtheir self titled album like me you might be disappointed that yet another album doesn't rmeet that level but regardless, still enjoyable.

A step above "Lies For the Liars", but not quite as hard hitting as "Artwork", "Vulnerable" sees The Used toying with and refining their sound to combine elements from their early work with the experimental, electronic elements of "Lies For the Liars" to create one of their most eclectic and enjoyable records to date. Bravo, Bert. Bravo.
