The long expected release of "Lingua Franca" has been a long one. But,does this stack up to the hype? The answer is Hell yes it does. This release has frontman Abasi and Javier Reyes from Animals as Leaders and with gentlemen Terrazas, Adrian and Eric Moore.
"Lingua Franca" is a instrumentally based progressive/jazz fusion type of album.This EP which has six tracks with a full length around 30 minutes. The album takes the skills of the each member to mix a experience which will not be forgotten. During, my listen of the EP i was steady impressed by the flow of their music, It can be at a fast tempo then slow down without losing ground. Starting at the excellent guitar work from Javier and Abasi to the outstanding yet mellow feel of the mix bag of instruments Adrian can ditch out. Lastly,to percussion of Eric.This Ep complements each member's strength's without destroying the whole execution.
This is a excellent step for this up coming band. So, sit back and relax to T.R.A.M

Made me see Tosin Abasi in a whole new light. The performance on all instruments is amazing.

Tasty shit. T.R.A.M.'s brand of jazz fusion constructs itself on Adrian Terrazas-Gonzalez' (The Mars Volta) wind instruments, djenty guitars from Javier Reyes and Tosin Abasi (without too much wanking woo woo), and Eric Moore's (Suicidal Tendencies) mad drumming. Top notch proficiency is thus a given here, but it's in the lil details that Lingua Franca becomes truly interesting, whether it's female chants bringing some soul to the package, or when tribal percussions and flutes work together.

Cool jazz fusion that takes extensive inspiration from the fusion classics but does add its own djenty touch and displays really nice rhythmics and guitar melodies. More to write up againnnn 4.0

Animals as Leaders leftovers which are better than the real deal imo. A solid fresh take on fusion with a djenty approach in Tosin's guitar surrounded by jazzier sounds.
