Some killer beats, and a very oddly haunting style, the only thing this album seems to lack is a direction. Still, a very good album, well worth a listen to, especially if you enjoyed Section.80 - I just find it too easy to skip tracks.

A constantly good, never woah West Coast rap record with some cloud linings. It's kinda all-over-the-place though, and the best tracks are the ones heavily sampling other songs - that "Firth of Fifth" sample mmmmhyeah.

My initial infatuation wore off slightly (dropped rating from 4 to 3.5)... I can't bring myself to listen continuously to this record, as it's a bit inconsistent. When both Q and the producer are in sync, it bangs, but some of the tracks are just boring/ borderline obnoxious. I really wish Q took his time and released a joint that took the best of H&C and Setbacks; that would have been an excellent record, worthy of top 2012 hip-hop accolades.

This is so ill it's crazy. Habits and Contradictions may not reinvent the hip-hop wheel but when you're this good it hardly matters. At least half of these tracks are gold.

I would say this is like Section 80 but Schoolboy Q style... and boy are kendrick and Q opposites lol. I like the whole album with an exception of like 1 or 2 songs.... This is a great way to start off the year. go to itunes and buiy this to support the Black Hippy movement!
