I suppose that one could make the argument that any of the two ideas that Skrillex typically employs in his music (am I doing dubstep or big electro jams today?) were never really his ideas in the first place. Which would explain why it sounds as if he's quickly running out of them. I've never made secret the fact that I'm far from being Moore's biggest fan, but even when he was at his most generic and WUBWUBWUB inspired, he could mask it by being extremely big and loud and somewhat exciting in the same way that being on ketamine always makes thing far more interesting than they really are. The new EP sadly fails to even do that; yes it's the same big-boy slab of molten bass drops and screeching whistles and yes we've heard these trademarks from any dime-a-dozen producer, but here there's not even a sense of attitude, a spark of any kind.
I guess we can all be grateful that thankfully this time around there's no more fucking remixes, but at this point the question has to be asked if whether Skrillex is really going to be able to sustain himself for the long haul? Is it a question of him simply not caring, or does he actually believe that his fans are too stupid to not realize any clear lack of progression and that they're simply being force-fed the same half-assed bass trends again and again and again? But I suppose there's more than one idea floating around that could add some credence to that argument anyway....

As catchy as this was, and as great as this would probably be at a party, or a friendly get-together with some of the lesser developed musical fans, when I look at it personally, it's still just Skrillex combining 50 sounds that on their own, might sound pretty decent, but when thrown together in this small EP, it truly does sound like a disorganized starwars space battle. There is pretty much nothing coherent to find here, as usual with Skrillex productions.

By force-feeding his listeners more of the same music, Sonny Moore, the guy behind the creation of "Skrillex", he proves that he has a complete sense of apathy towards any sort of musical integrity and only further insists on creating repetitive material, only this time, he was accompanied by an overly crude and self-entitled vocalist named Sirah who continuously rants about how "hard" she is.

"Bangarang" was the shit back then. Don't care about the rest, but damn "Bangarang" just goes. To be fair, it's kind of a remix of "Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites" - but then, what Skrillex tune wasn't? Apart from that, it's always the same WUBWUBWUB stuff - retrospectively, this shit was dated within a year. Remember that, after this, Skrillex only had commercial success with "Make It Bun 'Dem" ft. Damian Marley. This was the beginning of his downfall.

Bangarang starts off fairly well, with the first four tracks being bangers. The last track is also pretty good, but "Right On Time" and "Kyoto" are so bad that they drag the entire EP down to being just average.
