Columbus is certainly a different listen which makes it in scope so intriguing to listen to. First off, you've got excellent arrangements and instrumentation, an earthly voice and an album high-up on concept. Then, blend the idea of making an actor-less, completely sound based musical with splashes of pop structures and you've got the strangest idea for an album I've seen in a while. It's not at all focused on one specific thing and therefore each song is a micro-adventure. Throw in some guest vocals, story-book lyricism and an album high on concept as equal as the weight of the arrangements.
