I don't know, this is really more of a 4 to me in terms of quality but the nostalgia is overwhelming and it would seem almost unfair to my past to not 5 this.

A different departure from the typical post hardcore sound. A bit messy at times, but overall it's a refreshing sound, especially the 2nd half of the album.

Not sure why people are hating the "filler" tracks. I mean, I don't usually listen to them anymore. I tend to skip over 'Alibi. Alibis.' Maybe 'Yes' and 'No' too. I've listened to this album all the way through so many times, though. I don't feel too bad about skipping over the interludes.rI also don't know why people here are saying they went "scene." That's more confusing than reading about complaints that there's are a couple minute long interludes.rI'm a little late to this party, but when this album came out in the summer of 2006 I listened to it almost everyday, twice a day, for the entire summer. It was the first time I heard Trophy Scars. Yes, their previous EPs are great too. This album was great in its own way. I'm glad they evolved. All bands should. Their most recent stuff is pretty awesome too.rI only really wrote this now because this album will be released on vinyl in March and Trophy Scars plans on doing a record release show playing Alpabets in its entirety. Can't wait!
