3.0 good | Alabaster Jones | December 23rd 16 | Bit of a throwback for James Blake, as he returns to the days where he didn't use any vocals on his tracks. And as is the standard with every James Blake EP not named Enough Thunder, it's got one excellent track and the rest are forgettable. Love What Happened Here's title-track is pretty awesome, really showcasing his talents as a producer. The fact that he goes straight-up purple sound on "Curbside" is an interesting feature, but it's not really all that fleshed out and isn't too memorable in the first place. Come for the title-track and revel in its greatness, and then leave.

3.5 great | Deathcar | December 8th 11 | With this EP, it confirms the feeling from his last couple of releases that Blake seems to be settling into his own 'niche' now, and pushing the boundaries less - regardless it's still a niche that results in some quality music.
