The album that is good enough under the MF Doom name, but this album has the (same) super-villain concept album w/ a LOT of oddly food-related metaphors. Where this album certainly is not perfect, but the quirkiness of the lyrics are what add an unexpected charm to this album. At least this album is more fluently dynamic than his Danger Doom effort. The only downside I have regarding this album is the middle. Around the 21-25 min mark(?) there's just too many samples that mark as an intrusive interlude that temporarily took my interest away from this album. Aside from that one indifferent aesthetic, this is still a very chill hip-hop album that could rival that of Digable Planets' first album.

MF Doom's quirky, fun lyricism and beats demonstrate in full force why he has received so much love as a rapper/producer over the years on Mm.. Food. It's impossible to not listen to this album and not find yourself being uplifted by the energy it emanates. While the interludes may be a little exhausting on repeat listens, it's not enough to subtract from the incredible beat production and rap flow put on full display throughout the entirety of this album.

This might be one of my new go to albums for sheeeeer vibes, MF DOOM really uses his flow like a percussion instrument every album he makes can be listened to first as an instrumental with rhythmic vocals, and then listening to the lyrics

I just started listening to DOOM before he died, its a shame that such a good artist is now gone. The album is really great, clearly one of my favorite rap album easily and im really happy that its the 100th album i have listen.rP.S more i listen to the song more i like this album, its crazy how most of the song are bangners even after relistening to them

I enjoyed the sporadic, but continuous narrative of what appears to be a superhero cartoon before and after each song finishes. The samples are interesting too but it was quite excessive at times. Kind of threw the album's cohesion in a loop for me. Despite that, the raps throughout were pretty engaging and, all in all, a pretty fun and enjoyable experience.

Anyway, it's a decent album. I rate "Operation: Doomsday" much higher. It really does sound like he wrote most of this album sober though, for better or worse.

MM... Food is a funky, cool, easy going hip hop album from MF Doom. His flow lazy pushes around a lush environment while spitting some more lyrical tongue twisters and GZA-inspired bizarre, food-oriented metaphors.
