Hypnotic music, the kind of songs that sort of melt into your mind; "All those wasted miles, all those aimless drives," is sung, and man, this is the sort of thing that belongs to sitting and melting into the sound, humming along. rThis isn't music to make you move, this is music to make you chill, and with riffs so relaxing, it permeates and resonates- hypnotic to the mind, like a musical, beautiful, "aimless drive".

Jangly and dreamy pop from the early 2010s; with all the genre's shortcomings. All songs are nice, but they also all fall into the trap of spending the second half of their course repeating the pretty and nice dream pop guitars chords, and while the sound indeed is lovely, it just does not deserve such meandering.

It's about as exciting as the cover would lead to believe, but at least it's good! It's a well rounded album of chill indie rock tracks.

The first track says it all, an 'Easy' listen if there ever was one. Not to trivialise Real Estate's work, the vocals seamlessly flow over the hypnotic guitars throughout the entire record. 3.7/5

Jingle. Jangle. Also, I gather these fellows are afflicted by a certain amount of melancholy. On the bright side, "Younger Than Yesterday" has the loveliest and most memorable basslines I've heard in a long while, and it does go a ways toward saving this.
