You could argue that it's unfair to critique Hail Mary for sounding incredibly outdated, as it was recorded in 2006 and robbed of a release date until now due to a contractual discontinuation between Dark New Day and their label. However, the fact remains that even if this album was released in 2007-2008 as originally planned, it still would have sounded like barely passable post-grunge/alternative metal that would have been more relevant in 2003, but would have only been mediocre in that year as well anyway.
