Solid fitsy showing from Chick. Already on his debut his piano skills are more than apparent. Unfprtunately, his compositional ones are not quite up to speed. He covers it up with a fantastic opener ful of improv and incredible solos whether it be piano or sax, but the album loses pace auickly after that. The second track is solid too, but then the next two are not all that.
