Okay so here's the story: you have Guthrie Govan on guitar who every one knows is one of the best in the world. Then you have Bryan Beller on bass who has worked with James LaBrie, Steve Vai, Dweezil Zappa, and others. Lastly, on drums, is Marco Minnemann who has pretty much worked with guys like Paul Gilbert to bands like Necrophagist. That alone is enough to tell you this instrumental trio has insane chops but more importantly, amazing compositional skills. In 9 songs, that is exactly what you get; each musician showcasing their skills in the most musical way possible without any sense of egomania, whether it be in styles of rock, jazz, blues, or a fusion of all three.

I love this band. Minnemann being my all-time favourite drummer and Govan in my top 3 guitarists I was very excited for the album. I love how they all write 3 songs each, showcasing all of the different players? influences. Of course the playing is ridiculous, and the weiting is really good too.

Mind-blowing technical chops and versatility on all fronts make this a great musician's album. Shame the arrangements fail to engage me in any significant way. If you like this, you'll love Guthrie's solo album.
