Lights finally balances out her signature sugary-sweetness with some thicker beats, crunchier synths, and a little dubstep thrown in for good measure. Rest at ease, gentlemen. You can finally listen to everyone's favorite hottie without compromising your swag.

Pop album of the year, guaranteed. Lights balances out all her core elements and creates an album that sounds super cute and very mature at the same time. Crunchy!

A surprisingly detailed and varied release. The uplifting anthem that is Banner, the fuzzy beauty of Siberia, and a splash of soft somberness in Heavy Rope and And Counting. Toes could have/should have been huge. Plus she makes the word "magpie" sound hot.

Having just listened to this for the first time in 2022, I can understand why this was so well-received at the time. With that said, I feel like the over-the-top dubstep hasn't aged particularly well. Lights is still a great artist though.

A decent follow up to the listening that whilst not being quite as good as that , it shows a good level of progression for the electro pop artist with a genuinely strong set of songs that never fail to show off how powerful a voice she has and be catchy as fuck which is all one could ask from her

I very much disliked this album the first time I heard it. I knew her from "The Listening" about half a year before this was released, and I was expecting more of the same. That's the complete opposite of what "Siberia" gave me.rThis album marks her change from bubbly synthpop to more of a heavy electronic style, and that alienated me at first. However, after a while a song or two was stuck in my head...then another...until eventually "Siberia" became one of my favourite albums.rThere really isn't a bad song here. 'Siberia' starts you off right away with her new style, and the only tie it lets up is for 'Toes' and 'Cactus in the Valley', which have actually managed to be two of my *least* favourite tracks.rLights took a huge risk here and it paid off by being better than "The Listening" ever was. Even crazier, she finished the album off with 'Day One', a freestyle ambient electronic track, *and it worked*. She outdid herself with this album, and whatever comes next is going to have a hard time living up to it.

This album is awesome, I'm not a fan of pop music for the most part but I love this album. She's got a really great voice and she uses it to sing some pretty deep lyrics. This doesn't just feel like a collection of songs like most pop albums, it feels like a complete product, and leaves you satisfied with every listen. The soundscapes on this album are incredible, it feels almost as if you've just experienced an apocalypse and yet still have so much hope. Lights shows she actually gives a shit about making good music unlike most of her contemporaries. For me this is easily a 4.5 - 5
