Seemingly a straightforward indie pop effort from the drums that grows on you with repeated listens. Very honest and does not pretend to be anything it's not. Aside from one weak track "In The Cold" the album is very consistent. The peak of this album for me is "Days." Probably the most simple, repetitive track on Portamento, but it just oozes charm, beauty and heartache. Can see why this thing would grind some peoples gears, but it right up my alley. Catchy, very catchy. For those aching hearts and romantics out there dive in.
