If you were around in the 90s and listened to the radio; you're a damn liar if you say you
didn't get the infectious choruses of Real World,3 A.M, or Push stuck in your head.

[i]Yourself or Someone Like You [/i[] is a strong debut album by Matchbox Twenty, an alternative rock band rather than a post-grunge one. However, labels don't matter as long as music is good. The album's solidity is substantiated by its six(!) singles, all found in the first half. Highlights for me are 'Push', telling the story of a man in a relationship being both physically and emotionally abused by his girlfriend, and '3 a.m.', written by frontman Rob Thomas about his mother's battle with cancer during his childhood. Recommendations: "Push", "3 AM", "Real World", "Back 2 Good".r

The album that sold a bajillion copies and foretold the rise of Nickelback and Creed. Yeah, but it's still a powerful album and much better than the both of them.
