epic, melancholy, ultra-musical... what a true masterpiece. 'lifes like a river' alone is worth the admission price.

The Scorps? first great album. Mostly driven by power-ballads with progressive hints, Klaus Meine?s vocals shine, but not as much as Roth?s playing. His bluesy but classically influenced playing comes to the foreground, and sounds fantastic.

Its a pretty good album with some amazing tracks and eargamsic guitarwork but still I felt that there was something missing from this album, it just didn't hit the spot for me. There are some decent ballads in this album but compared to their other ballads, they seem relatively bland.

In Trance is a very good album that shows the type of band the Scorpions were before transforming to the band that released the classics Love At First Sting and Blackout.

In Trance is easily one of Scorpions' most underrated releases. Uli Jon Roth does a great job here. Very fine album.
