That's Outrageous! are destined to be one of the more hated bands in the genre, but you must come into this album simple minded. Their execution is familiar and their sound strikingly similar to so many other groups, but damn, I had so much fun listening to most of the tracks featured on their debut. Skip all the techno lead songs and skip right to the point with the rest, blasting in the breakdowns and making things catchy in their choruses, this album has managed to become a guilty pleasure in almost every form of the word.

People will hate on this, no doubt. That's Outrageous sounds a lot like Attack Attack! and Abandon All Ships, with sometimes heavy autotune usage. The mixing and production is pretty good for a debut album, and most of the songs flow together pretty well. Take Teenage Scream, for example. It smoothly transitions from a chorusey intro to a techno-dance part, to a breakdown, to a chorus, to a rap part, to a breakdown. Sure it might sound bad, but they do it well. The singing is good, and the screaming is good, if not a little reminiscent of self-titled era Attack Attack!. Even the techno interludes are fairly good and catchy. Think of this as pop metalcore, and rate as such. That's Outrageous isn't trying to break any new ground, they're just having fun. People often forget that music is supposed to be fun, it can't be all serious all the time, that gets monotonous. Fans of Abandon All Ships and Attack Attack!'s first album will love this, if you hate those two bands then you won't like this very much, obviously.

listen to my mate chris higgins, he speaks the truth. this record is hella fun and shouldn't be taken serious at all. 200% flippancy.

I don?t think this band uses any autotune. They use vocoders. It?s different. But overall a very fun listen if you skip the straight up shitty techno pop songs

Eh, it was fun. Not the worst songwriting I've ever heard; not the best songwriting I ever heard. Some of the 'rapping' parts (such as in the title track) are kinda awkward, but at the same time fit. Mixing wise, it's your basic type of sound for the genre. Instrumentally, there are a lot of generic riffs thrown in there, but at least some of the leads (in a few tracks) can be creative enough. The electronics are what help this album work overall though, as there are some pretty cool sounds in here.
