While it succeeds as a sort of tribute, there's not much on The 13th Chamber that makes me want to listen to Wugazi more than either Wu Tang or Fugazi. Rather than absorbing the two artists into a better, more fluid project, Wugazi is clearly no more than the sum of its parts throughout. And while its parts are certainly spectacular (showing through best perhaps on "Sleep Rules Everything Around Me" and "P.L.O. Squared"), Wugazi falls victim to the same problem ailing so many mashups-- there's little that's fun, entertaining, or even interesting besides picking out the individual parts of Fugazi and Wu-Tang rather than being able to enjoy Wugazi for itself. Am I expecting too much, maybe?...
