After releasing 2 mint releases, This Year's Girl and Bossa Nova, the band suffers from "follow-up syndrome"; the pressure is on, and its difficult to best or even compare to a classic record (or in their case, 2 records), so an expected sense of being "burnt-out" comes with their 1994 album Overdose. They take the experimental approach this time, diving further into styles like electronic and soul. Still a worthy addition to the band's discography, if a bit disappointing.
