I have mixed feelings on this one. Have you ever wanted black metal mixed with waltz rhythms, chicken coop sound effects, and electronic drumming? You've come to the right place. It doesn't all work, but I have to admire the bold experimentation. This is an inconsistent and oftentimes baffling release, but while the former may be a reason to pass on it, the later is, in a way, all the more reason you should hear it.

His most experimental and bold record. The drumz are not always welcome, the lyrics fluctuate between typical JVC's 18-25 and enlightened shit, and some "boule techno" parts also felt weird. However, it's super engaging, and some of the sections are his best since La Sanie. Props for trying, Ludovic (I did not imagine Famine had such an fdp name). 3.9

Been listening to this so much the past few days and definitely gonna say this is in the running for AOTY so far, along with Primordial. By far the "weirdest" Peste Noire album yet, but also one of the best. Not as great as La Sanie, but still worthy of a 4.5.
