My name's Ryan but mostly everybody calls me Pec. I'm 18. I'm finally out of high school. I played football for THE Jeannete Jayhawks (2006 and 2007 WPIAL Class AA champs and 2007 PIAA Class AA state champs). I was wide receiver and a linebacker/defensive back. And uhh we fuckin missed the playoffs my senior year which sucks ass. Jeannette is the gayest school EVER!!!!!! I hate 98% of the teachers. Only good thing about it is being an asshole with my friends and messin with the teachers. I like to sleep a lot. Theres usually nothin to do on weekends in Jeannette. wouthoug a doubt the best black metal album ive heard in a long time.dani filth is so amzing on this release.his vocals seem some what dry but very diynamic at the same time and very very clear.
i recomend this to anybody wanting to get some black metal styled extreme metal.

This is the best Cradle album and a classic of 90's black metal. It was the perfect balance of
heaviness, atmosphere, production quality and songwriting. Dani's voice was still fierce and
varied and had not yet devolved into the deteriorated, cartoonish bark that has been all he could
manage in the new millenium. The album artwork was tasteful (by CoF standards) and the lyrics,
while still over the top, were much more nature/spirituality themed and less
erotic/gothic/vamp/crap than others. The only other album they have ever released that has held a
candle to this is Cruelty and the Beast, but unfortunately god-awful production and the obvious
decline of Dani's vocal abilities prevented that album from being the swansong it should have
been. Dusk and Her Embrace is a finely crafted masterpiece in all aspects and the best and most
well rounded album Cradle of Filth ever released or will release.

raw amateurishly orchestrated but thats what makes it a classic, dani's not quite mastered shrieks are everywhere and they just let out what they can of their young souls highlights in carpathia and title

There is nothing else quite like Dusk And Her Embrace. Novel, gripping, chilling (albeit bloated and indulgent in areas), and only Cruelty And The Beast is more devilishly theatrical; forgivably pretentious (substance ultimately wins out), Dusk may very well be Cradle's finest hour. Simply put, this is the definitive extreme Gothic experience. - 4.8/5

Dusk and Her Embrace is the first classic Cradle of Filth album. There are many key elements that turn this album into a classic. The first one is Dani's voice which in my opinion reached the peak of its career at this point, the we have the great keyboards that help to build the exceptional dark and gothic atmosphere, in the third place we have some of the most memorable riffs the band has offered and a very impressive drumming and last but not least, the instrumentals here are great.

wait? A cradle of filth album that actually sounds solid? dusk in her embrace is a great album, full of atmosphere, chaos and brutality but i still cant get over dani's vocals sometimes, but alot better than their other albums for sure.

Probably one of Cradle's finest outings, Dusk...and Her Embrace is one of the albums that helped define this band's sound. This album has a feeling like no other Cradle of Filth I've heard, as something on the disc just seems tighter then everything else they've put out.

AMAZING! This album displays the pinnacle of the band's skill. Dani's vocals are at probably the most aggressive at this point, in terms of spine-tingling screams and deep, dark death-growls. The intricacy and speed of the music on this album is absolutely amazing. Their cover of Slayer's "Hell Awaits" is one of their best covers - bringing a whole new heart to the song.
