Bon Jovi's voice is one of the worst in the history of rock music, plus he was responsible for influencing countless other piece of shit bands in wake of this mortifyingly bad album.

While this may not be the most overrated album in history, it still manages to be respected by fans of the 80's. People who make the lists on VH1 listen to this music. The musicianship is decent at best, with Richie Sambora putting out a few decent riffs in a song. The bass isn't audible, so there's no point in talking about it. Jon Bon Jovi can sing, but his cowboy-ish lyrics are attempts at being "living-on-the-edge-cool", but to tell you the truth, they just flat-out fail. The drumming is, well, who cares? It's Bon Jovi. The lyrics in these songs are terribly written, and the songs just sound like they wanted this to be the Michael Jackson's Thriller of hair rock. So overall, this is garbage.

What is there to say about Bon Jovi that hasnt been said by real 'metalheads' about Jon Bon Jovi's girlish good looks. Many have refered to him as Jon Bon Blowme. But this album is a definate staple in the music industry whether you liked it or not. This marked the era where wearing spandex and 'guy'liner was the hippest thing since 'break dancing'. Yes this was a 'radio' cd, because the best songs were radio hits, that doesn't mean the rest is garbage. Raise Your Hands and Never Say Goodbye could have as well became mega smash hits. Yet every other person person who picks up a guitar wants to attempt to learn Wanted Dead Or Alive sooner or later.

full ass radio rock of the kind to make ur pet cockatoo dance, and it isnt even bad. bad name lyrics dont go with the music at all however and its one of those few instances when the words completely ruin the tunes

Pretty bad. A whole lot of nostalgia and not complete terribleness on a few tracks like You Gove Love a Bad Name, however the poppy choruses, orchestral keyboard hits etc. made this a real hard one to sit through. Last 3 tracks especially were total garbage.

Good lord. Have a look at the tracklist. This album is absolutely great and has many classics on it. Additional I would say 'Raise your hands' and 'Wild in the streets' are not mentioned enough in my opinion.
