| 2.0 poor | Robbit | May 25th 16 | Hellion's self-titled debut EP is an aggressively played slice of early 80's L.A. metal with loads of style and confidence, but little real substance. Anne Boleyn's boisterous vocal delivery is reminiscent of Lee Aaron or maybe even Ronnie James-Dio at times. There's a lot of bluster and energy here, but the songs are fairly unremarkable. The comparably lo-fi production and sound quality of this release doesn't really help lift their profile either. Not just being a hater here. I just didn't enjoy this as much as I would have liked to.
