Mainstream rock that isn't embarrassing to listen to. We all knew Sixx:A.M. would make this album, an album that further propels their burgeoning mainstream sound but it's so damn catchy who cares if there's little to no substance to be found here? Great vocals, catchy melodies and surprisingly solid instrumentation This is Gonna Hurt continues Sixx:A.M.'s hot-streak of writing awesome modern rock records.

MainStream rock is always embarrassing to listen too. We all knew Sixx A.M was going to make this, and
guess what, it's uninventive dull drivel, Surprise! This Is Going To Hurt continues Sixx A.M'S hot-streak of
writing really shitty modern rock records.

The first half of the album is pretty stellar all things considered. The title track, "Lies of the Beautiful People", and "Live Forever" are fantastic and haven't aged a day. The other half of the album have cliched late 2000s hard rock-isms that just have aged, "Deadlihood", "Sure Feels Right". They're not awful, but definitely aged.

There's a couple songs I'm going to skip and there's a couple songs that I can't stop listening to... seems to be the case with most mainstream rock albums these days.rSure Feels Right, Deadlihood, and Help Is On the Way are my favorites, and Skin is beautiful
